Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how anyone can opt out.

Last updated August 8, 2026

1. Who we are

IDview provides person-level website visitor identification, AI lead scoring and an AI Website Agent to business customers. This policy explains how we handle personal data for our own website, for our customers, and for individuals identified through a customer’s IDview tracker.

2. Data we collect about customers

Account data: name, work email, company, workspace and teammate details, and authentication identifiers.

Usage data: pages viewed in the app, features used, resolution counts, log and diagnostic data.

Billing data: plan, invoices and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.

3. Data collected through the IDview tracker

When our tracker runs on a customer’s website, it collects technical and behavioural signals: page URLs, referrer, timestamps, device and browser attributes, approximate location derived from IP address, IP address, and pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers stored in cookies or local storage.

Working with our identity and enrichment providers, those signals may be matched to a business profile containing a name, employer, job title, professional social profile, business email address and, where available, other business contact details.

For visitor data, our customer is the data controller and IDview is the processor. Our customers are responsible for their own privacy notices, legal bases and consent management.

4. Why we use data

To provide, secure and support the Services; to resolve visitors and enrich company records; to generate AI lead scores and power the AI Website Agent; to bill customers; to prevent fraud and abuse; to comply with legal obligations; and to improve the Services using aggregated, de-identified data.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

On idview.ai we use strictly necessary cookies plus limited analytics. On customer websites, the IDview tracker sets first-party identifiers and may perform a cookie sync with our identity provider so that a visitor can be matched.

Visitors can block cookies in their browser, use Global Privacy Control, or opt out using the link in section 9.

6. Who we share data with

Identity and enrichment providers who help resolve and enrich visitor records; cloud hosting, database and storage providers; AI model providers used for scoring, summarisation and the website agent; analytics, support and billing vendors; and our customers, who receive the identified visitor records for their own websites.

We may disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We do not sell personal data for money.

7. International transfers

We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

8. Retention and security

We keep customer account data while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Visitor records are retained according to our customer’s configuration and our standard retention windows, then deleted or de-identified.

We use encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls, least-privilege access and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and we tell affected parties promptly if something goes wrong.

9. Your rights and opting out

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port or restrict your personal data, to object to processing, and to opt out of targeted advertising or profiling. You will never be discriminated against for exercising a right.

If you are a website visitor and want IDview to stop identifying you across all customer websites, contact us through https://idview.ai/contact and we will add you to our global suppression list.

If your request relates to a specific customer’s website, we will route it to that customer as the controller and support them in responding.

10. Children

The Services are for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change.
